Songwriter, Sean Garrett, Lands Deal W/ Interscope

Atlanta bred producer/songwriter Sean 'The Pen' Garrett, well known for crafting hits for Usher, Beyonce and Nelly, recently announced that he has scored a label deal with Interscope Records.

Garret will launch his Bet I Penned It Music imprint with his currently untitled debut album, which is expected to be released later this year.

"It is a privilege and an honor to join the roster as an artist of one of the most successful record labels in the world," Garrett said via a statement. "Joining Interscope will grant me the opportunity to share the side of Sean Garrett that the world has yet to see. Besides being known as Sean Garrett the songwriter, the producer, I will soon be able to add 'The Artist.'"

"Sean Garrett is one of the greatest songwriters to come along in the last 10 years," said Interscope CEO Jimmy Iovine. "Interscope will always jump to work with someone like him."

This year, Garrett has penned hits like "Wall to Wall" for Chris Brown and Kelly Rowland's "Like This." Other hits under his belt include Usher's "Yeah," Nelly's "Grillz," Beyonce's "Check On It" and Mary J. Blige's "Enough Cryin."
