The Carter Boys
Jay-Z Ft. Lil Wayne - Brooklyn 2.0
"[Wayne’s camp] sent the record and it was done," Jay elaborated. "So it wasn’t like a collaboration thing. It was done already. Gee [Roberson] and [Kyambo] ‘Hip Hop’ [Joshua], who came from Roc-A-Fella and went on to do great things — I’m very proud of them — manage Wayne. That whole thing came through them. It’s more of a great record than a lyrical slugfest…"
They also mention that Jay is adding some "last minute additions" to the album and Jay confirms that the Jadakiss/Def Jam deal is "90% done."
Wayne said “Hello Brooklyn” was actually made for his delayed album, Tha Carter, Vol. 3. “It was produced by my homeboy Big D a long time ago,” he said. “Jay heard the song some type of way, and when he heard it, he said, ‘Ask the homie if I can get this.’ When I was asked the question, I told them it wasn’t even a question he’s got it. Everybody in the world knows how I feel about Jay. … He’s the king, utmost respect. Full Story @ MTV.com

Congrats to 50
Congrats to 50 or Mr. Curtis Jackson III why you ask ... After only 6 weeks in stores, his Curtis LP has finally cracked the 1,000,000 units sold mark. Since the RIAA awards plaques for albums shipped rather than sold, he already has a plaque, but at least now he can look at it with some actual sense of accomplishment.
(In case you’re wondering, to-date sales of Kanye’s Graduation are currently at 1,534,190, and he’s still in the Top 10 on Billboard. Curtis however, has sunk all the way to #21 with a total of 1,025,460)

Cassidy Done Lost his Mind
This Philly fool boy has went crazy since he got out, from the accident to the dissing rappers and taking his words back to now discussing Jay-Z... Is this dude crazy, I think he needs to work on stepping his game up first, because he hasnt gotten better since his last LP. Please dont end up like Swizz apologizing about what ur first week scans are because I predict that he doesnt scan more than Swizz did.
This ia what he said:
I think right now, the way that I got the hood on smash and the way that my song is poppin’ off, I don’t think it would be a smart decision for Hov to drop on November 6,” Cassidy told SOHH.

***Wiz Khalifa ft. Punch - Youngin on his Grind (NEW)***
http://www.sendspace.com/file
"Punch is the future of Hip-Hop" thats what one major industry executive told me recently, as they saw his attack the microphone at a recent Get Wet Entertainment showcase held at New York City's own Club Blvd. Another industry insider was in awe of how he controlled the crowd with his coined phrases "I'm Live" and "HUMBLE !" as the crowd chanted those words. I even heard DJ Enuff from Hot97 say "Humble". This is the effect that Punch has on people who hear his music.
This is his second major placement in recent months. Earlier this year Punch was featured on Geffen artist Jibbs remix record King King where his verse stood out so much that he gained an industry buzz. There has since been much chatter about the up and coming Brooklyn bred artist, where insiders have told me that he has been offered many deals from a few major labels.
The Labels include Atlantic, Interscope / Geffen, ans Warner Brothers. With all of this interest being shown Punch has continued to work on music. Recently performing at many New York City night clubs Punch performed in front of many Warner Brother Record Execs at Club Snitch and showcased his talent, charisma, and his ability to control the crowd.
This landed him a placement on the new Wiz Khalifa record Youngin on his Grind, this track has a melodic rhythm that draws one into the music as well as the lyrics and it tells the tale of how no matter how you hustle legally or illegally make sure you continue to Grind. Wiz is Warner Bro.'s newest artist out of Pittsburgh, Pistolvania.
Continue to look for music from both artist, Punch will be dropping a mixtape called The "ADVANTAGE" hosted by the Heavy Hitters and DJ Enuff in the fall, he will also be performing at many showcases and events put together by his promotion team Get Wet Entertainment.

LL Cool J Speaks on the Jay-Z Situation
LL Cool, who's got an album coming soon ('Exit 13: The Icon Versus the Wolf Pack') in which he’ll battle the new young rappers, talked to NY Magazine about the tensions between him and Jay-Z.
In the past, LL Cool J blamed Jay-Z (President of Def Jam) for his poor album sales and last week he criticized Jay again for jumping on 50 Cent's 'I Get Money Remix' saying:
'Instead of doing that verse, you should have been doing your job.'
Now LL seems to have calmed down a little judging by his recent comments:
“We need to meet and figure it out,” he said. “It’s tough. Let’s be real. You know, they have an artist”—Jay-Z—“running a label full of artists. Okay? That’s like Calvin Klein running a fashion label and Varvatos and everyone else is underneath him. What kind of sense does that make? This hierarchy? It doesn’t work for me.”
“I’m going to approach [the meeting with Jay-Z] from a positive, optimistic viewpoint. Hopefully it will work.”
